Hair Algae

The only current Hair Algae I have is on all my snails shells,any explaination?

i had that when i 1st started my tank..an about a week later it was gone..

if it ends up on the rocks i bought a bunch of red leg hermits and within weeks it was eaten

I bet they are looking everywhere for it too... Lol like man I can smell it right around here somewhere..

Tank is about 7 years old, seems kinda strange it's only on the snail shells

Put the snails in a bag in the water they will eat it off each other
