Attached is a video of us hatching our baby banded bamboo shark! I could not see a yolk in the egg sac, so we went ahead and helped her out of her egg case. It turned out she still had a small yolk attached, so she could have stayed in a few more days. She was born on April 10th, 2012 and she started eating the day her yolk sac dissapeared fully (April 13th). She is currently eating Krill and some clam strips. She's not crazy about silversides yet, but were working towards that! Come check her out at the shop sometime! We also have a Juvenile Banded shark in our 300Gal display!

ok, that's really cool. How do you know when to hatch them? Makes me want to set up a new tank.

That's the coolest thing I've seen on here in a while. Thanks!

Thanks! Usually they can break out themselves, in some cases they have trouble and you need to cut them out. The best way to know is to check the egg daily for a yolk sac. If you don't see the yolk, chances are you can hatch it out successfully.
