Went to post some free sand but looks like only Charter members can post in the For Sale section (lol) so how about I give first dibbs to non-charter members. After all a non-charter member is more likely to be a newbie and MAAST is all about helping newbies, right? This is about 150 lbs of sand that I pulled from my 190 when I moved it, it was in there for about 6 months, free for the taking and the rubbermaid container also. There were six 40 lb bags that went in but I guess maybe some sand was lost settling out or something because it's definitely not 240 lbs. PM me and I'll send you my address. I've got some other random little/old/misc reefing items that I may send with you as well. I've got a big box of small dry live rock for frags, two big containers full of PVC and unions and such, reef books by Calfo, heck I don't even know what's in the boxes in the garage. EDIT: The sand has been in the garage for a few years semi-covered so you may want to rinse it but it appears to be clean. I also have a big 5' tall beckett skimmer I built that I'll probably never use again because we have the tank in a different location, it's dirty and the craftsmanship is not exactly professional but I ran it for a few years and it skimmed the heck out of the tank.

I don't think I'm coming back. I've had the 190 running for a year now with nothing but live rock and my Purple Tang. I think I've fed him 5 times maybe? He's fat and happy though since he's the only fish in there grazing. I just bought a new boat and plan to fish a lot this summer. Wife did throw me a curve ball though and said she would like to see more fish and some corals in the tank, so who knows. I'll probably give all the stuff away and then regenerate interest and have to buy it all back LOL. I'm thinking a small tank might be in order, but then I'd have to find a GOOD home for that Purple Tang and I'll have to trade out all my larger pumps for smaller ones.

Hey Joshua,
I've taken the liberty of moving your post to the correct forum. You were correct, you attempted to post in the wrong area. Webmembers are permitted to post in the For Trade section for all of the reasons you indicated in your post.
Thanks for supporting the community with your generous offer.

I will make an exception for you. I think someone is coming for the sand and skimmer so I just need to be sure he doesn't want the PVC.

Greatly appreciated buddy. That skimmer has started my wheels turning. Now i have to get a tank(s) going that will use that beast to its full potential. Im already reading the book too. I might have to link a couple tanks together ha ha. Thanks again.

Something tells me that free skimmer is gonna end up COSTING you a lot of money in upgrades and bigger tanks! :D
Lemme know if you have any questions when it comes time to set it up. I'm sorry I didn't clean it out first (at least it was empty/dry lol) but this was all kind of spur of the moment.

Yes, sure do. I need to check with my buddy down on the coast first though before getting rid of anything else to see what all he wants. I think I'm heading down this weekend.
