Has anyone tried these over a reef? I heard about this over the weekend and they have gotten my attention. I haven't really looked into it too much yet but wanted to ask on here first. I know dipan did plasma/led awhile back. I may put one over an experiment tank just to see how it does. Also read through a reefbuilders article from last year, they seem to be a great replacement for halides. The only thing I am still not too sure about is the color(Kelvin) of the bulb.

Is this the article Kevin? http://reefbuilders.com/2011/03/24/induction-lamps-aquarium/

A 400 watt bulb with a surface temp of 80 degrees? Sign me up. For some reason these remind me of plasma bulbs a few years ago. A lot of possibilities but little in the way of actual results.

Yeah thats the article. The problem with plasma was it was such a yellow light. I think this might face a similar problem with regards to that. Would be great for growing plants but with reefs 12k-20k is optimum.
