Do u have pipe with the sponge in the drain side ?

Throw a towel over the top muffles the sound

Or get a pump that is rated for it

When we had one in the past, we cut a piece of styrofome to fit the top of the overflow box. That quieted it some. Is it a gurgle sound? If so, do you have an air bubble in the J tube? If so, thread a little airline hose up into the air bubble and suck it out. That should help quiet that. HTH,

You will never get it quiet with one drain. You need at a minimum 2 drains and 3 is even better. You can look into a Maggie Muffler for a single drain, never used them but heard they work as effective as they can for 1 drain. If you have 2 drains, you can use the herbie method and with 3 you can use the bean method. Herbie and bean are pretty much the same, but the bean has a dry emergency as an added fail-safe. I gave up trying to silence my 1 drain overflows.
