Frag Swap Corals - Lets see 'em!

Man, what a turnout today! I know a lot of ya'll got some nice pieces. So, who got what? I picked up some gorgous additions, I'll take pics tomorrow when the lights come on. So many pretty things......gonna be a lot of pics :)

Ima get some pics in a bit. Just got done feeding the tanks, so everyone is nomming right now.

Man, I have SO much tank work to get done today. And my house is a wreck with buckets and coolers and frag swap stuff everywhere :)

Oh yea, next month I'm getting a golden dwarf moray. So, to celebrate I am redoing the rockwork in the predator tank (again). Sigh. It never ends, does it?

I got a few nice pieces. A lettuce pavona, a green toadstool (which fully opened last night after this pic), and a nice rock from Rob with army men palys and green bay packers. The army men dont have the same green in my tank yet, I'll give them a few days and see what happens. Yes, I'm aware I have algae problems. :cry_smile:

My toadstool really opened up a lot more since yesterday. I love when you get a new coral you have not kept before and think it is awesome when you get it, only to find out it keeps getting better and better, even though you knew that from the beginning.

Nice Sherita. I see the Walt Smith Acro with the silver polyps but I don't see the Tubs Mystic Blue Acro that I traded to you. The long 3 inch blue stick with the split tip.

He's chilling in a spot in my tank where I can't get a decent pic. I'm going to set up the tripod tomorrow and get some more pics. He's not the only one I need a shot of. That Walt Smith is a show stopper :)

I finally scored these after hunting for over a half year for this coral. Thanks BSJF for this piece. And to think I almost bought it a few weeks back from someone else. I think I paid ten bucks more than I would have back then and I got 3 pieces. YES!!!:applause:

A couple more pieces $500 efflo, nice palythoas, hollywood stunner chalice( if you look closely you can see sweeper tentacles), ultra hot pink acans, and tyree pink lemonade(this piece was half dead when I put it in my tank:at_wits_end:).

My goal is to get at least 20 zoas.

I picked up some inexpensive zoa plugs. I dont know the names. So many names. LOL

I got some hair algae on one plug but Ill scrape that off later. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

To get rid of the algae, mix up a solution of 50% tank water and 50% hydrogen peroxide (the 3% solution that you can buy at the walmart or drug store for treating cuts and scrapes) plop the frag in the dip, wait 3-5 minutes take it out and rinse it, and return it to the tank. It will fizz for a while, and you won't think you did anything for the algae, but tomorrow the algae will be dead and white, and the zoas will be opened up just like before.

I use this to treat for nuisance algae on frag plugs if my cuc doesn't get it. It works on all nuisance algaes, including bryopsis.
