Has anyone tried this? I bought a bottle and I really like it!.. you keep it in the freezer but it does not freeze. So far seems like a really good product.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if the Frozen 2.0 has about 80% moisture and PE mysis has only about 6% moisture, PE mysis is better right?
Others like San Francisco bay mysis have 90% moisture

you are correct about moisture content...comparably to most others I like the convenience. PE Better because of less moisture? probably debatable. its also more expensive because of that fact. PE is a great Product.. but not the product I was giving feedback about.

I'm using the Mysis... I just really like that I don't have to thaw it out first..

Yeah I know, with the PE I sometimes forget and leave it sitting there for hours... I'll see if I can get some the next time I go to SA

Hey how have you been liking this food? I bought it a few days ago and I like it, one thing I notice is that my skimmer doesn't go crazy like when I feed PE mysis.

I tried the krill and micro plankton, to offer some variety to everything else I feed. So far so good, I like the product and will try the mysis and brine next time. Some times my mysis seems to take for ever to defrost, with this stuff it's ready to serve which I like.... No more forgetting to feed while waiting to defrost...
I say try it..... Nothing better than having a variety for your fish...
Oh ya, some of my fish that normally dont care for krill went crazy for this stuff......

I got a bottle of the carnivore blend the other day. I like it so far and it has a good mix of stuff in it including bloodworms. The fish haven't revolted so I guess they like it too. The PE is a good food, but I always hated the greasy feeling of it and would rinse it in RO water before putting it into my tank.
I tried using my syringe to feed the coral and didn't have any issues with clogging.

Is it whole krill or has it been chopped up?

Isn't the greasy feeling an indicator of HUFA, which is good for their diet?
The difference between 90% and 6% moisture... that's huge. Paying for convenience is understandable, but that's a big difference. If the packaging came equipped with a syringe built into the cap, that would be cool. (Does it? I haven't tried it yet.)

I believe you are correct on the HUFA. It just never felt right. Does that make sense? It was kind of like when you are used to using hard water and then you wash your hands in soft water and it feels as if the soap never comes off. The greasiness didn't cause any detrimental effects To the water quality that I could see, but I felt as if it should.
The 2.0 does not have a syringe with it. I use a 50cc syringe with tubing to feed coral and this stuff was easy enough to get through it.
I also like the fact that I can control the serving size easier too. With cubes I was always cutting them up so I could feed a variety and not have much waste.
I would have to research the water content a little more before I can have an opinion on that. There might be a difference in water quantity in the binder, the food particles themselves, or if it has less water because it uses another liquid in the mix.

Is it whole krill
I want to say whole, they were good sized... But I will check when I get home today, that's what's on the menu.

Cool seems like quiet a few are feeding it. I was actually surprised that a local "fish store" had it in stock, I might go back and get a couple more to try the different mixes.
350gt is the micro plankton mix for fish? or the particles are too small?

Was wanting to try this stuff out too out here in CA. Found your convo in my search. the frozen PE Mysis 6% moisture? Is that right? That doesn't sound right. Read something on line from PE that says the PE Mysis are 82.27% moisture. http://forum.simplydiscus.com/archive/index.php/t-21710.html Seems like 6% moisture would be getting in the neighborhood of powder or freeze-dried or flakes???? Anyway thanks for the talk on this as soon as I find some I'll try it out!

I've been using most of the line and I love how easy it to use out the freezer. All fish eat it and coral respond to it also. another good point is how well you can add meds to it, my fox face had some stringy poop and so did my naso when it came in and I treated with focus and metro for internal parasites and it's so easy to mix it in food. both fish are doing fine now and naso has put on some weight finally.

Lol yes I caught myself getting upset cause my regular frozen food was taking for ever to defrost.... If all my fish ate krill thats all I would have fed that day cause its so much easier....
