After waiting for sometime . The tank is finally getting done. The arrival of our daughter diverted the funds to the nursery and all the items that only get used once... Now she is a year old and its time to finish the project. 92 gallon Corner bowfront, with a 30gallon L-Shaped sump built by ace, went with a HOB overflow. Didn't want to drill it and void the warranty. Here it is.,, more pics to come..

Def slow and steady..
For lights I went with a 36" AquaticLife T5 fixture ,4-Lamp w/Lunar LEDs . It's all on a built in timer. Leaves more room on the outlet strip , since it just uses one plug.

Just started today. Is it coraline algea?

Do you have the light on daily when you cycle the rock?

Dude, that tank looks totally sharp. Love it!
That bright green algae is perfectly normal. My bright green algae graduated into little strands of filamentious algea and then slowly disappeared after a month or so.

Thanks Cory dude.
Im going to keep my eye on it,see what it does the next couple of days. I have been searching online for info and have come accross a few thing. One is its its just algea. Another stating that its coraline algea , that will start to turn pink the withing a few weeks then purple. I turned off the daytime lights and just left the blues on. To see how it does.

Gone for a few days. Green Algae is going strong. Guess cutting down on the lighting hours didnt help much. Did come home to a working skimmer. About 1/2 a cup of nice yellowish water.. ammonia down to 0 ppm . 15669

Thanks guys. I need to take some video of the tank. With the depth of the tank hard to see all the rock work.
Picked up a small clean up crew today at elegant reef. They went straight to work. Turbo snails have been working non stop. Hermit crabs , god only knows where they went. But the few I saw were hard at work. Astrea snails are moving around also getting to work.

Day 3 of the tank with the clean up crew. 70 percent of the rock is algae free.

They sure did Ace. Have been working non stop from the moment they were put in the tank. Im surprised to see the speed they are getting the rock cleaned at. Guess they dont call them turbo snails for nothing..

Super happy with this guy . Within a few hours of being put in the tank, he began eating everything I was feeding him. Has been doing great in the tank. Swimming around in and out of the caves..

Today marks week three of my tank in fallow after the ich outbreak it had. How much longer should I wait. I have read anywhere from 21 days, to a very lenghty 11 weeks ..

If you're truly intent on doing this, I'd say go the maximum required time. I thought that was six to eight weeks.

LOL... Its Def a good sized tank. I think this would be the max size for a corner tank. With my 92 its already hard enoungh to get to the back corner. I cant help myself, I really like this shape.

Just when you think everything is running perfect. I came home after being out of town for a few days. Corals look good. Then I do a head count on the fish. Yellow eye Kole tang and Mozambique blenny are dead. What a bummer. :(
