I'm generally not one to fuel the fire, and understand there's 2 sides to every story, but actions of this company are truely unbelievable.

I haven't heard them mentioned here before, but in case anyone was curious about them, this should tell you all you need to know.

I didn't read that far into it because I see it like this:

He wanted to buy a clam. He couldn't figure out how to pay for it. Somebody else paid for it. It belongs to somebody else.

That would be the end of story for me.

Of course duh if they want to sell to individuals they should tell them how to pay for stuff and sell their clam.

If you are calling a place to order stuff wouldn't you call with credit card in hand?

Do they have the duty to HOLD an unpaid clam for somebody who may or may not be coming by next week to their location (which they state is not set up for the public to visit?) No I wouldn't think so.

So if I wanted that clam and I couldn't get them to take a credit card over the phone then I'd just say I'll take my cash elsewhere.

I definitely would NOT start some crazy email war with the store owner.

People! IT'S JUST A CLAM! Get one somewhere else... seriously.

Yeah that Russ guys PR skills are poor. But I think he is responding to somebody with unreasonable emails who is also sending crazy emails in the first place.

I only read the first 4 posts because seriously taking this clam dispute any further would just be a waste of time.

Yeah, the clam wasn't really the issue, the facebook post where TFF told the guy if he ever came in for coral again, he'd make him eat it was what shocked me.

WAit till you get to page 9 an on... I think one of the TFF guys "poses" as a newb reefer and makes a very personal plea on behalf of TFF. AND the buyer of the clam comes on and puts in his 0.02. They BOTH specifically registered with that forum to reply to that thread.... Thats bad business im my opinion. What a summers eve!

Both sides were wrong. That Jersey Shore looking guy has a serious personality defect. The OP was wrong for even wanting to do business with a company like that. I checked out their website and it just seems too shady.

You have to register and provide a lot of personal info to even view their coral selection. At least I think that's how it works. I didn't even want to chance anything by signing up (even with fake info). No thanks, I'll just keep my money in the local economy at my lfs or use trusted sites like live aquaria or atl.

Oh, thank goodness I didn't read it for 30 minutes! I snapped in less than five minutes and realized I had better things to do. Life is too short and I couldn't take it any more.
