they do the breeding pretty much all by themselves. You don't have to worry about it until the eggs are there.
If you get young clownfish it may take them quite awhile to mature.
As with any broodstock it's important to keep them well fed.
Survival first. Reproduction second.
If they are starving they are not going to expend the extra energy for reproduction.
Be ready. Culture some phyto and rots. Some people feed their rots algae paste instead of live phyto

THanks i have rots coming in on thursday and ive had my clowns for a few months

are the clowns spawning already? i would not start maintaining a rotifer culture unless they are regularly breeding. like karin said, it can take a long time for a pair of clowns to get into the habit of regularly producing eggs.

yeah if you have clowns that are just a few months old and not yet spawning you could be maintaining rot cultures for a year for nothing

Lots and lots of food, including live foods will help increase the size of the spawns. Are they spawning at all yet? If they are and you do get your culture going, feed rotifers to the parents. Helps them feel like there will be food for the babies.
