I am happy to see you try LEDs out and I'm sure it will take a couple months for the sps to fully adapt to them. I'd like to see what the growth difference is after they adapt compared to your mh. Time will tell and keep us updated with lots of pics to document growth, color.

tony and I need to sync our schedules so he can use his camera skills to get decent shots and we will go from there. so far my 10g ATO has dropped an inch in 24 hours, I top off through my Kalk reactor to keep my levels up especially ph

i really dont know seems a lil slower its a standard 10g aquarium and before i went through around 8g every 4-5 days. i dont like two part, running kalk has been better for me, especially since my tanks ph runs low in my tank. i really dont want to buy a automatic dosser as i am out of room in my stand!!

i have a almost 2 foot tall kalk reactor that has to sit in the ten gallon reservoir, of course my sump and my two reactors along with all my other crude under the stand also have a RKE with 4 pc4's. so i am tapped out

just got back from Cedar Park for Polish Easter !! tank and coral look fine. top off is half way gone so pretty steady top off..... still watching colors. from my readings on reef central pinks kinda suck and purples, I can add multi color pucks or uv puck or red puck. the uv and red are about 90 a piece the multi color puck is 189 each, I have room for up to 7-8 extra pucks not sure if I would need another power supply to run all 7 as I do have a spot open for one more

I was reading about that beast you have over your tank thats the 8 puc 4 foot fixture is it the SR260 or Sr360 and can you put more pucs then the 8 it has or do you half to change out ? they say the spread on that thing is like a MH and you dont see color spots like most led fixtures is that true. As high as your MH were above your tank i dont think you would have that mutch of a change in your evap but you did have HQI 250 i think thay get alot hotter then mogul

so if you look between each puck there is a open space, that is where you add a new puck. it's the 260, and yea this is the best looking led I've seen .very close if not exact to my mh shimmer, no disco. Vertex claims this is due to not having lenses.

I did that with the Sols Chris. You forget so easily and then it happens. Mine happened after lights went out and I was walking for the bedroom. Scared the crap out of me.

I remembered that and made sure I turned off weather effects on the Vegas when I set them up.

i wasnt running enough gfo so i had to bump it up and my smaller reactor couldnt handle the amount and it wasnt tumbling properly, so i just added a bigger reactor. im happy with .04 any higher i will adjust things

Vertex sr-260 just whites and blue and royal blue, no optics(non offered) 4ft model. tank is 60x24x24

You need more power, I have noticed that with only 2 lights over my 65g which is 3' long its not enough and they should have been install front to back and not side to side. When I do it all over again i will have a hell of a lot more leds over the tank so I get the coverage even after they grow out. I should have had 3 ais over my 3' tank to i get even growth no matter where the sps sit in the tank.

Everything is looking good man. How do you like the LEDs so far? And are you gonna jump on new lights with uv and other colors or stick with what you have. I plan on mixing vega and hydras on my 190 3 of each.

Yea I believe uv is a game changer but you know these lights will just keep getting better and better. I have just been waiting and will be upgradeing after the end if the year or later just need the funds fo 6 lights. Maybe by the time I upgrade they will be cheaper. Your sps look really good and the way your going you'll have to get a bigger tank in a year or two lol.
