This is the larger version: model S-3002 for up to 400 gallons
includes Eheim pump and media

Just purchased this summer, paid $520, Asking $450 - NOW REDUCED TO $350 for reactor, Eheim Pump and Media (everything you'd get with the original unit)

Have you been burning through biopellets like crazy and your corals still don't like it but you want to get rid of high nitrates?
Consider removing the end product (nitrate) rather than messing with the middle of the cycle.

While you can easily go through a couple hundred dollars worth of biopellets AND tick off your corals, the sulfur media can last for years AND not affect your corals

lol
That's really what sold it to me. My corals were always just hanging in there and I spent about 200 bucks on biopellet refills. The combination of that made me really hop off the biopellet bandwagon. But my nitrates were at 50 ppm or so... so I had to do something...

I have the smaller unit. This is high quality construction, and the sulphur media can last for years. Mine is over 3 years old and the media is still working.

I think I'm going to switch from biopellets, too bad the reactor is too big for my tank.

There's no such thing as too big when it comes to filtration ;)

(unless you have a nano of course)

Yeah it's only a 29 gallon so that reactor may be a little overkill.

:D. Time to get a bigger tank!
Just kidding. Yes that would be a bit much. Although if it doesn't sell I'll probably move it to my 60g seahorse cube...

just to clarify on size of reactor:
the smaller model is rated for up to 250 gallon
The model I have for sale here is for up to 400 gallon

I ran it on my 215 gallon tank. Why did I not go with the smaller model? Because if you get a model too small (and you know how optimistic manufacturers are when it comes to rating their equipment ;) you won't have any noticeable effect on nitrate. So why waste money on the smaller model and take the chance that it won't work?
I would think the model for sale would be reasonable for tanks 100 gallons and up. The media will last easily for 2-3 years so no new costs (unlike biopellets) for years to come! :)

now reduced to $350. media will last you several years. you won't get nitrate reduction any cheaper for a big tank of 125 gallons and up.
