So we have a pair of perculas that we have been keeping for over four years in our 20g hex. Today we had a bunch of MAAST members in the house and apparently they wanted to show off and gave us our first clutch of eggs. Or at least that's the first clutch we ever noticed anyway!

I was inspecting the pretty purple sponge that is growing on the rock at the base of the bubble tip nems and actually thought, "that's weird, when did we get orange sponge there?" before it clicked in my brain what I was looking at! So in the pictures, the eggs are not easy to see, but they are just to the left of the purple sponge at the base of the RBTAs.

Congrats! Is that a clone from Bill's nem?

Yep. It's actually two of them side by side that look like all one nem, originally from one of bstreep's clones.

Very nice picture (the last one with the clown checking on the eggs)!

Very cool. Especially the "Bill's anemone" part!

I wondered if you would find this Bill... faster than I expected! :) We have been very happy with the pretty little nem (now x 2) and get lots of compliments on it.

I'm still on a couple of times a day... except on most weekends.

Any what?

We aren't raising the fry so the eggs just get eaten by the corals and by the fishies in the tank when they hatch. Someday I would love to raise a clutch, but we don't have any rotifers going at the moment and our lives are far too busy and hectic these days to devote the enormous amounts of time and dedication to feeding and cleaning a separate system for clownfish babies several times a day.
