My little boy wants to know why the clownfish always seem to nibble on their eggs.

The male guards and cleans them.

Our big mama nuzzles them too though. So it's for cleaning them? Thanks! :)

That's what we read in that Clownfish book that's in the MAAST library. I did a little reading to prepare my lesson for a friend's home-schooled daughter and friend who came over for their marine biology lesson / field trip. Luckily we had a nice clutch of clownfish eggs at the time and the 8-year old girls had lots of questions so I was glad I had done my homework!
I was the coolest teacher ever because I let them each touch and play with an asterina starfish! :)

lol I read that and thought Oh that makes total sense now! I can understand that.
