I got this coral about a week ago and was wondering if anyone else has one. It's called a Leptastrea sp. "Crater Coral". The coral was not fully opened up in the picture.

Maybe its the picture... but the polyps look too large for it to be a Leptastrea? Either way it is a cool looking coral. Nice addition!

That is a crater polyp not a crater coral ie lepastrea. Google images "crater polyp" the first few images should be what you are looking for

Y'all are right. Found out its a type of True Palythoa sp. "crater coral / mat zoanthid".

wow. I didn't know palythoa came in one piece smooth mats like that -very cool.
If you do want a Leptastrea I think Cob's Corals had a few including a very pretty yellow one :)

Yep, there are tons of them down in the Florida Keys too! Not as nice of colors but I have seen continuous colonies the size of small cars.
