Title says it all. What are your tank plans for the upcoming year? New directions, new equipment, new livestock?

For my 60 cube, it's a pair of AI Sol Blues and an Aqua Remora C in-sump skimmer.

For the 120, I want an Apex controller, alien eye chalice, and a true undata.

I'd like some nice sized SPS sized colonies to fill in the gaps. :blushing:

For 2012 I really would like to purchase a reef controller and to buy an MP-10. Livestock wise I would like to grow myself a pretty nice sized toadstool.

To get rid of the hair algae that is slowly taking over my tank. Two 250 watt Phoenix Gold DE 14K bulbs to replace the Ebay 14K specials I just bought. They're too yellow for me. Livestock, more one or two more wrasses and something that schools. Either some Green Chromis, Anthias, or what Sheila wants are the Banggai cardinals. Also any easy to care for SPS and/or LPS and Zoas.

I want to add some more equipment. I need another MP40 and some other stuff that costs a lot that I really don't need. I also need to tweak the plumbing a little and add some different spectrum of LED to the tank.

I am pretty set on coral and fish, but I am always looking for an acan, micromussa, or chalice that I can't do with out.

Mainly I want to enjoy the hard work that has already gone into the tank.

Thinking about this is depressing me. I'm expecting to have to move in 2012 and I'm not sure where (either someplace permanent in SA or back to UT). So, about everything with the tanks/life will change. It's been really hard to think about.

I guess I just want a healthy grandson who loves saltwater.

i am hoping for a full year of stability for the clownfish tank. it would be nice to see what it will grow into with little meddling from me.

i would like to have some success with the baby horses and would really like to get more done with the breeding program in my classroom.

For the new year:

Two MP40s, would really like to recapture a wave effect.
LED setup. I only run one 400MH, but I would like to have something that I can put more blue light into the tank. And the electrical storms sound sweet, but superfluous.

Livestock:

More color. High end zoas and stuff that's really bright. The SPS that I currently have is really not bright unless under the halides. The blue LEDs that I have go on at the end of the day really doesn't do anything for them, except maybe the Garf Bonsai. So, I'm looking at some of the bright LPS, and a lot of the zoas and palies that glow under the right lights.

Definitely want to add two controllers this year.... been talking about doing it for some time now and think the added security of temp stability / control would make our reefing life that much simpler!

The grandbaby LOVES our tanks! She's a sucker for the lights, movement, and color. :)

Just received for Christmas 2011:

Neptune Apex Lite system with extra EB8, Lab Grade Ph Probe (with calibration fluid)
2 - Finnex 300W Deluxe Titanium Heating Tubes (these do not have their own controllers, they are controlled by the Apex, less clutter to deal with)
3 BRS dosing pumps and dosing components (CA, Alk, and Mag)
Red Sea Reef Foundation Pro Multi Test Kit (Ca, KH, Mg) (was using Salifert and was getting tired of matching colors, the titration kits work so much better!)
New BRS filter socks
Refractometer Calibration Fluid (Have never calibrated mine, it was a little off)
Koralia Evo 750 to replace Koralia 3 (now have two Evo 750's running on alternating schedule via the Apex)

On my wishlist for 2012:

Hanna PO4 checker
Neptune Energy Bar 4 (for the BRS dosers, hope to put them under the sink, which is next to the tank)
LED's (Still waiting to decide on which ones)
Neptune Variable Speed / Dimming Module

New tank and stand (want to go ~120 rimless starfire - 48x24x22)
Seaside Aquatics CS1 Skimmer
2 MP40wES
Neptune WXM module

Time, I want more time. Time to clean and work on the tanks like they need to. Time to redo the plumbing on the 140g and have it skinned. And time to just enjoy the hobby.

I am working on either cloning myself or learning how to stop time. :)

Once the 140g is done, stocking it with more cool fish. :)
