In a couple of days my par38 should be here and I was wondering what adjustments I should do for my corals to adjust them to the new light. Currently they are under 96 watts of T5 lighting with the actinics on 7 hours and the full daylight + actinics on 4 hours. They also have moonlights on during the time the lights are not on. The bulb I am replacing them with is a rapid LED par38. I have some zoo's, hairy mushrooms, palys, duncans, and some pulsing zenia.

You can start with short cycles of the Par bulb and increase a little at a time. You can adjust the height of the light and drop it a little at a time. Also you can make a couple of screens out of the black window screen that will help to filter some of the light from hitting the coral straight on. Remove a layer of screen each week until you are running at full power and time.
Either one of these should work.
