I thought he died a long time ago but discovered him in the overflow. Guess he moved to the other side of the tracks. How on earth am I going to get him out. He has been there for a few months.

I guess reaching in there is out of the question?

I took off the durso piece, about a day later my fish was in the sump. But the gurgling was very annoying.

Mine goes to a trickle filter, so if he did that he would be dead.

My canopy is the problem. PITA~!

yeah sounds like you are going to have to take that canopy off?

A few years ago I had a clown go down the drain and he layed sideways on the filter pad in the wet dry filter with water splashing on him when I found him! He survived!!!
(And I never had another tang in my tank after that. The clowns had never jumped before or after I added Moby, the tang and I've had them for years now)

I'm so glad that Scarface is still with us!!!

I feel your pain at having to operate under than canopy. Mike and I sometimes do this thing where we jack up one side of the canopy on blocks (three 2x4 planks that are screwed together), then the other side, to give enough room to operate for whatever we are trying to do. It is just such an ordeal to take the whole canopy off. Maybe you could try something like that?

Good luck and keep us posted!

Scarface, raised on the wrong side of tracks and learned to fend for himself. Don't be surprised if he starts trafficking and forms a gang once he is back in the display. Maybe you should have named him Pluto or something else with fewer negative connotations.

Same thing happened to my flame hawk, I didn't see him for weeks.... Then one day I was on the computer and heard a splash.... He made the leap back into the DT, he has been fine ever since.

The canopy is very heavy with the lights on it. More than a 2 person job to change the lights and I always worry about the center brace holding. I do need to change the light bulbs too, just haven't wanted to tackle it.

Alton, I will give you a ring if we decide we are up to it. I just asked Kriss and he is struting around like he can get the fish out without taking the canopy off, so will let him tray to fish a net in there for the clown to jump into. Since I haven't fed today it might work. Who knows.

Then the next issue will be where to put him. He will get picked on by the rich kids. I guess I can keep him the fuge.

Mission accomplished. Wasn't so bad after all. The net went in from the back. Thankful for the corner overfow though.
