HAMMER TIME pics will post soon put plywood on top of stand to make flush $50, painted back wall black $20, in addition to plumbing I got with tank xtra plumbing costs $60 used Hammerhead $250 Right now it sounds like the ocean is in the den lol Theres tons of water flow. holy cows total cost project $380 plus $455 equals $835 and I just used 350 WATTS with the HAMMER. I will be forced to use LEDS. LEDS in a month or 2 probably will be diy With all the xtra flow Im thinkin buy some reactors and use the extra hammer flow. Any idears of someone doin the same?

Did you go with the stand you had in the den?

I went to a 6ft stand not 8ft. It was a tough decision and arguments can be made of all the xtra room I would get with 8ft stand and put a bigger sump. I will be going to a 2 tank system. So after this project is done I will probably start another 6ft tank maybe. I will for sure have to go to LEDS diy. Ill be patient to see how you do your setup.

On another note. Last night I was so eager to get the hammerhead running i forgot something. I hit the switch to turn on the hammerhead. 1 funni thing I forgot. I forgot to drill little holes in my returns. I turned off hammer and lost 20 gallons of fresh water out of the sump. lol panic:applause::applause::applause::applause:

I am working with the Marineland REEF 1WATT LEDS. I have it sitting on glass lid. I cant wait to upgrade to 3WATT LEDS.

Nice, dude. I almost bought me two sets of the Marinland 1 Watt fixtures for my tank. I didn't realize they were not the three watt kind.

Everytime you mention "Hammer" in this thread a little voice in my head responds with "I don't growl or bark, I BITE".

LOTS OF ROOM for improvement. This is the current WATTAGE on the setup. This will change.

retrofit vho 2bulb 220WATTS Need to upgrade to 3WATT LEDS
marineland 1WATT LED fixture 54 WATTS need to upgrade to 3WATT LEDS
for sump 4x39WATT is 156WATTS need to upgrade to LEDS

Hammerhead 350 WATTS will eventually take over my skimmer and cooler
maxijet 1200 20 WATTS

Coralife 220 skimmer guessing 70 WATTS FOR 650 GPH
Coralife power center double ?? WATTS

I have a total of 870 WATTS on a 210. I can make it better. How efficient is your system?
