For those of you that think this thing is just a timer (J.T.).. lol, its awesome IMO.....

I just got done unhooking and rewiring everything and I like this thing already...... too bad my lights have a built in timer cause it would have simplified it and I got to kick out my 2 hideous power strips and the 2 timers for my LED strips and my sump light.... U can set every individual outlet on its own timer and a bunch of other stuff I have yet to learn to mess with........

Plus it looks SICK on my stand...... will take pics when I clean up all my mess tomorrow...

dude have you drove by my house and seen my lights, all LED!!!!..... plus they are on there own timer outside.... Simplicity is a good thing to have in life ;)

once I can figure out how to replace that old burnt out halogen light bulb in King's(leroy) head, I will replace it with a LED.... maybe then he will take my advice.

I love my RKE, will never do another tank without one. it's so nice to have control of every piece of equipment at your finger tips, and you can change the colors of the screen. but it's nice to know my heater will never get stuck, or if temps get too high lights shut off. and just seeing what my temp, ph are doing. I'm also running there auto top off.

yes I am happy so far.... Just set my heater controller to shut off the heater if the temp goes over 80 degrees.... nice to know incase my heater gets stuck, it will hopefully do what its supposed to do.

I am also using the Reefkeeper Elite with NET module. I have the net module working fine in my house but am unable to get it to work from outside my house. I have the "my mobile reef" app for iphone, itouch, and ipad...I can't get that to work and I can not login from anywhere else. I want to be able to monitor and tinker with the tank when I am away from home. Has anyone had any luck with this? I am not using wireless...I have a dedicated hardwired cat5 cable. Any help out there?

Wish I could offer advice but I didn't get the net module...... My house is on a wireless network, wonder if they will offer a wireless version in the future....

Like JT said, that's okay.... Would just be worried if it gets higher when ur not home..... In the summer is when ur really going to have to worry. Your MH and canopy are the main cause of all that heat..... If I was u I would be paranoid of my ac going out while not at home.....

Not sure if the RKE has them, but I know the aquacontroller has two ports for low voltage devices only. Previously I had my aqualifter (used for top off) on a high voltage outlet and nearly overflowed my sump because even though it was technically off, it was still pulling enough voltage to keep the pump running.

I have heard the RKE allows you control things down to the second, is that true? You cannot do to the second control on the Aquacontroller, which absolutely sucks, especially if you plan to use it for dosing.

all correct Erik, they have modules that have low voltage switches like float switches(sl1,sl2). and everything is timed down to the second if you want.
