Adding a MP 10 to aid my MP 40 in my 110 or a reef keeper ?

i personally think a second MP40 would be over kill, which is why I am favoring the 10. My tank has been fine with just the one powerhead but it seems just a little more flow in the opposing corner could help.
Asfar as a reef keeper, I thought it would be nice to be able to keep a eye on my PH and I know it will get some use in my system eventually. At the moment I do not dose nor have any kind of top off mechanism... But I love gadgets...

Im leaning more towards the mp10 as it would benefit the tank more than anything.....

I would say both eventually. If I had to pick one right now I would go for added flow.

I run mp-40 and mp-10 on my 3 foot tank. both on 3/4 power, and its perfect so no a second mp-40 wouldn't be overkill. I would get a mp-40 and a jbj ATO

I'm going to be the odd man out and say get the RK. I love the amount of automation and control it gives me. Mine handle all my lighting (mh, vho, moonlights, sumplights), heaters, fans, pumps during feeding, and I can see my temp and ph at a glance. I run four controllers in total, RK's x 2, ACJrs x 2, I could not live without them, particularly on the frag tank setup (which resembles some sort of hydroelectric plant/nuclear reactor/mad scientist experiment).

My lights have a built in timer, I dont run any fans.... i would like to know what my PH and temp are at a glance, and it would be the main reason i would pick the RK.

How does the RK work with the vortechs?

I know its not a choice but I would vote for another mp40 to go with the one you have now. Maybe you can get the controller for Xmas?

I could care less about PH, but when humidity is high and my AC goes out my RKL cuts my lights out to keep the tank from over heating.

You could always get the MP10 and and build a controller with an arduino.

Ya, I couldnt justify spending for another MP40. My tank doesnt need it, could get away with just another Koralia but want the MP10 to work in tandem with the MP40...

I wouldn't waste that much money on a mp-10 for that big of tank, 4 k-1400 placed around the tank would do a better job. yes the lil mp-10 is a beast but the flow pattern is very narrow because its made for short tanks. so maybe some k-1400 and a controller .

Makes sense..... Might try the mp 10 from my nano and see how it works first..
