Australian Sea Apple - $30
Please be aware, this animal has special needs and requirements in order to live and thrive in your tank. They are NOT photosynthetic, they are strictly filter feeders. They require routine feeding (every other day) of live phytoplankton in order to live. They will starve to death if you do not feed them, and they cannot be kept in a tank with anything that might pick at them. This is a very colorful animal, and is spectacular to look at, but is for the advanced reefkeeper only. Also be aware, if they are extremely stressed, they have the ability to emit toxins that will kill every living thing in your tank. That being said, if they are cared for, it's very unlikely that this would ever happen. I have had this apple for well over a year, he lives in my 72g mixed reef system and has given me no problems at all. They like to be in med/high flow, and will most likely take up space in front of your returns or in front of a powerhead. They require the same precautions as anemones, you must cover powerhead intakes to prevent them from being sucked in if they get too close. They will not bother your other tank inhabitants, and tend to become stationary once they find a place they like.
This animal is only available to someone with advanced reefkeeping experience, and your tank MUST be at least a year old. Please do not ask about him if you are a beginning reefkeeper, or your tank is new.
Any questions just pm me, or text at 325-214-0135
Mods, I didn't combine this with my other for sale ad because of the specialized nature of this creature and the care it requires.
