Sigh, here I go. My damsel is harassing my welso. He's lived peacefully with him for nearly a year, and now the jerk decides it's fun to pick at him. So, tomorrow the fish trap comes out. This sucker is aggressive enough about food that I don't think he will be too hard to catch, BUT if he decides to be a pain, I am more than willing to take out the rock he hides in.Why do they start stuff like this? He's been fine, perfectly behaved. And overnight he turned into a jerk. I moved the welso to the safety of my frag tank while I deal with the yellow and purple pain in my tail. Grrrrr. Get OUT.

Someone should create a catnip equivalent for fish.

Justin, they need to invent something, for sure.

I will never understand why a fish will decide to start bugging his tankmate corals when he has never looked at them before. I noticed tonite that he is hassling the bar goby as well. He's about to get a change of scenery, into the 75g aggressive. The inhabitants won't hurt him, but he sure won't be the bully of the tank in there. The HUGE six line in that tank rules the roost. Even the morays don't mess with him. Of course, every time I work in that tank he makes me bleed. Biting sucker. He's the reason I had to buy new lights, I broke them when he startled me. I thought the big moray had me. Another jerkfish (there should actually be a category for that, LOL).

Is the damsel a yellowtail? I had a bicolor blenny be a model citizen for over a year then start nipping my open brain so I empathize with you!

I can't remember the name, he's bright yellow with purple stripes. Beautiful fish, long tail streamers. Just EVIL.

It sounds nice. I looked through LA and Bluezoo but didn't find it. LMK if you remember the name.

They call it a black and gold chromis, but it's actually a damsel, and the stripes aren't black. They are a lovely shade of royal purple. Somebody must have been drinking when they named and described it

Black and Gold Chromis (http://atlanticreefstore.com/store1/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1431)

As they mature, they develop beautiful streamers on their tail. Apparently they also develop a taste for corals :hypnotyized:

I would have never doubted you to come out the winner ;) Congrats. So what is that going to be? Fish and Chips all in one serving?

Man, those would be some really tiny fillets, LOL.

He's been moved to the 75g aggressive tank. He doesn't think he is so bad a** now.

And my welso is all puffed up and happy again. This makes me very happy. I'm all about the corals, the fish, not so much. However, if someone has an achilles tang that they want a new home for, I could force myself to take it.
