Crud! I was doing a water change when my hose crept too close to the bta, and I ended up pulling off a few tentacles. I siphoned te few that weren't taken immediately. And of course the nem is hiding out.

Any idea of what I can expect? He had just started coming out after the last split. If he hides for too much longer he will be very white.

My last RBTA went through a K3...all of the tentacles were shredded. She was left with zero tentacles and they slowly grew back. Took a long time but she didn't die. I think as long as the foot doesn't get mangled they will bounce back.

I did this exact thing a few months ago, wasn't paying attention to where the hose was sucking and really gave the poor RBTA a rough time. Within a couple of days, it split into two happy healthy RBTAs. So your poor nem is stressed, but should be fine as long as all the other conditions remain stable.

I sure hope he doesn't split though.
