Had a mystery wrasse that wasn't supposed to and it ate 5 out of 6 peppermints. Now i have one peppermint left, 3 cleaners, and a Fire shrimp. Will they eat these or are they safe?

if it can catch them it probably will... I have 3 peppermints in with my rather large Melanurus and He has murdered everything BUT them.. Its a game of chance I believe. Mine likes snails but leave the shrimp alone

Does it eat all your snails(as in all types and sizes)?
Anyone else who has a melenarous wrasse comment on their experience.

Yeah worried about my 3 cleaners and a fire shrimp. Peppermints I don't care. Was just thinking since they are cleaners if it would leave them alone or not

I have had 2 lrg melanurus wrasses in 2 separate tanks for over a year and both eat snails (I don't have crabs) but each tank also has a cleaner shrimp and they have never bothered the cleaner. The snails they eat seem to be any that reveal flesh.

My experience is the same as Rob's. Nerites and turbos are safe since they are almost always covered.

Mine ate two cleaners and a fire shrimp the first week. My wife asked me why all of the sudden it had grown whiskers. :)

Mine eats everything but fish and coral. Beautiful fish but ravenous.

Not sure who is eating my shrimp, but someone did. Both cleaners are gone, and most peps. He also has taken a liking to both crabs and snails.
