Grant money or not, I need some help @ The Studio. I have my weekend help on lock down (I hope...) but I'd like to find someone that is knowledgeable in our hobby, can provide honest advice, and has experience in customer service.

This person may be called in on weekends as backup. I'd also like them to be available Tuesdays when we receive our larger shipments. Currently we are closed on Mondays but I would like to change that.

During the week there are opportunities to do in home/office maintenance.

If you or someone you know might be interested come on down and talk with me.

Too funny! Working at a LFS is dangerous, come payday you end up owing the store for all the stuff you take throughout the week!

Let me ask Louis, how many personal tanks do you have at home? I always feared working in the industry and turning what I love into 'work' might take away from the passion I have for the hobby. I always wanted to work at an LFS or maintain tanks for people...but my concern was also the pay. What is the pay expected to be like? (You don't have to post that if you don't feel comfortable, I understand) I'm just genuinely curious...I love the company I work for and work days so that puts me pretty much out of the running, but I still have interest in it.

I currently have 4 tanks at home, one is a very small freshwater tank that I use as a night light for my daughter, another is my 215 gallon in-wall that is running but has no occupants (working on a remodel of the garage), a 45G stretch hex that I'm in the process of tearing down to transfer into my new 57G Illuminata. I actually don't get tired of my aquariums. I have several hours each morning before work that I use to do some light maintenance and tinkering. I enjoy what I do.

As far as the pay, you can make great money if you service. I think I pay my service guys better than any other company out there and that's because I expect them to do the best job possible. If you work sales/customer service in the store the pay would be similar to any other retail job.
