Ok so my salinity was off so I did a 10 gallon water change with rodi water from the Lfs today right after I noticed a red fosfloresent fluid coming from one side of my tank does any one know what this is???

red fluid???or its a red slimy algae

No it was literally like some put red food coloring in my tank but just in one spot of the tank

I'm stumped. Water contaminate? How does your tank look now? Running carbon?

I once saw a bristle worm spawning event. These things spew out red/pink gametes that cloud up the water pretty well. Only reddish liquid I've ever seen in a tank.

That sounds cool. I've seen them spawn, but it is white.

red fuid is something else...i dnt know if its beacuse of spawning....i suggest to run carbon and check ur water parameters...if everything seems happy i wouldnt worry....
the reason i asked for the red slimy algae is because sometimes when u scrape that or its growing infront of the high flow area it does seems like redish fluid in that particular area..

sorry been busy yes i am running carbon. it only happened when i poured the fresh water into the tank maybe i ****ed something off and it thought it was dying so it spawned to preserve? i dont know

I have been told to play it safe when doing fresh water top off is to do it in your sump, not in your display tank.
