Hey, some of you might have already seen my 100G tank. So now I'm going to introduce you to my 25G nano.

Here's how it started. I bought dry rock and put it in this container first because I wanted to start the nano but didn't have the money to buy the Ecoxotic yet.

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/avilamillar/L1010282.jpg

Later I bought the tank, sand, and lighting. Then I started playing around with the rocks to find an aquascape that I like.

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/avilamillar/L1010368.jpg

I used the E-Marco-400 to stick them together, and here's how the final aquascape looks

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/avilamillar/L1010456.jpg

I forgot about the tank for the whole summer then added the first few frags. I also added sand because I didn't like the bare bottom and added an extra Panorama module(magenta and blue)

And here's a video of how it looks today

Thanks for the comments. The fish at the beginning is a smiths fang blenny. I got that trio from LA this friday so they are still shy. They are pretty interesting :)

Well talking a little more about my system.

Tank: all in one cube from Ecoxotic.
Lighting: Panorama Ecoxotic 17.5'' with an extra module (8 blue 445nm 4 magenta) and blue stunner strip.
Water Movement: stock pump + Vortech mp10
Filtration: stock skimmer (looking to upgrade to a Tunze 9002 or Deltec MCE300) no bioballs or the other stuff the put on the back.
Tunze Osmolator for water evaporation and thats it.

Inhabitants: 3 Smith's Fang Blennies, 5 acan frags, 1 zoa frag, hydnophora frag, 5 acropora frags(not sure of the names. from the $15 and under section pacific east aquaculture), 1 red montiopora capricornis frag, 1 red monti digitata frag, Torch frag, Maxi mini anemone, and one that I dont know what kind it is. Also 1 blue leg hermit crab and a nerite snail.

A pic of the coral I would like ID

Here's also a pic of the maxi mini

That sucks. My maxi took out one of my chromis, but all the other fish stay away from it so far.

The rock formation didn't look poodlish to me. I was thinking miniature horse though.

I hope the other two blenies stay away... I haven't thought of the miniature horse haha

Wow, and then you just pull your finger or what? does it hurt? I'm kind of scare of moving stuff near the maxi because I don't wanna get stung

nice tank..

Thanks :)

Yeah, those... I don't think the fish would have got eaten just because it was curious but because I put my hands in the water to clean some stuff. I'm guessing it got scared and ended up on the maxi.

Looks good.

When I put my maxi in the tank I had to touch it out of curiosity. It felt like sticky velcro - didn't hurt, just felt weird. It did start to close up on my finger so I screamed like a little kid and almost flung it across the room.

I want to know more about this glue for the rocks. I am always buying small pieces that are unique and cool but it is hard to stack rubble sometimes with Newtons third law working against you.

Awesome little tank. I like the way that mp10 moves the water. What's the biggest tank you could run with one of those?

Thanks :) if just the one mp10 is going to be the source of water flow in your tank I would say 34G max. Mine is 25G and I run it at about 75-80%

I have a mp10 in my 40g breeder along with a spray bar and it keeps the water moving pretty good also makes a nice little wave, but even with the pump off and only the mp10 going I still get decent water flow thru the tank

Sorry about the fish bennies are some of my favorite fish
Nice tank by the way

I was just estimating, but I guess 40G would be fine too. In fact Ecotech says you could use it with up to 50G.

Blennies are pretty interesting. I have one on my bigger tank too and its really cool :) I'm thinking on getting another fish to substitute the missing blenny but not sure which kind. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

How about a Catalina goby. They are a cool looking little fish iv been looking for one locally but have yet to find one. Gobys might not be as active as bennies but they are still pretty cool

I like the catalina goby but I would need cool temperature water for it right? I've read that it should be around 70 I would also like a fish easy to get it to eat pellets.

The maxi ate another of the blenies. So I just have one left :( I guess I will sell it before the maxi eats it.

Well the one blenny I have left doesn't seem to be happy alone :S since the maxi ate the second blenny the remaining one has been hiding in the rocks or by the corners. He was the one that ate the most of the three but yesterday he didn't eat. Could he be better in my other tank were I have several other fishes?

Well something weird is happening to my tank right now. I'm not sure what could be the problem if there is any. I did a water change a couple days ago. Added a vial of Biodigest and Bioptim. Then today I added a Frogspawn and a Zoa frag. When I came back a couple hours later, the water was cloudy and the glass had this weird lines(see pics) something like this happened when I first added a heater about a week or two ago:http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/avilamillar/DSC_5609.jpghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/avilamillar/DSC_5611.jpghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/avilamillar/DSC_5613.jpghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn167/avilamillar/DSC_5614.jpg

Corals, snail, hermits and my two maxis seem to be fine. The blenny is hiding in the rocks.

Well... the last blenny died today :( Since the maxi ate the second bleny, this last one stopped eating.

Sorry to hear that.

Did your tank clear up or did you find an answer to your previous problem?
I was guessing that the added bacteria is what caused the cloudy water and bloom.

Yeah, it cleared up after a few hours. It must have been a bacterial bloom. However since the blenny died and I didn't see it until hours later I did a water change again. of about 20%

I'm thinking on adding another two fishes. But I want them to be hardy and easy to feed(pellets). I was thinking on 2 damsels. Would they fight if between them even if I introduce them at the same time? I'm not planning on getting other fish later because it is a small tank.

PS I also want them to be cheap because my maxies like to eat fish... or maybe the blennies were just too curious...

When I set up my 30g at work I put a pink streaked wrasse and a tail spot in it. The wrasse picked bugs off the rocks all day and the blenny would eat algae. I know you are skeptical on adding them because of the maxis, but it might be worth a shot again. I like diversity and I think 2 damsels would get old in a hurry.

I definitely like those 2 fishes. They were on my list to put in but I went with the fang blennies. I will visit a couple LFS tomorrow and see if I can find them or what else they have that I like.

One that I would love to have is a Yellow Anglerfish, but I don't know if I would be able to keep up with the feedings.

Hey I found this two pink streaked wrasses on LA but the colors look diferent. Could it be that one is male and the other female? this are the WYSIWYG pics:

I checked and they are both from Indonesia. So they should be a male and female. I would like to have that pair. I hope I can get it for christmas :)
