Got all set up and into my 2nd week of cycle. I decided to go with a 125g since I have been out of the hobby for 3 or so years, I didn't want to jump back in too big until I get the hang of it again.....I know, it's like riding a bike haha! Some of the stuff will be to get me by for now and some will obviously be good enough for what I want to do. So I went with a 125g drilled, 120lbs live sand, roughly 140-150lbs fiji premium with a few mixed tonga branch, 40 or so of which is in the sump at the moment.

I went ahead and bought a light fixture, which will be good for this tank. I went with the AquaticLife T5 HO and Lunar Light Fixture with built in digital timer. So far I love this light! I know it's not the strongest, but should be fine to get me by with some LPS and softies. The built in timer eliminates the need for the regular box type timers. It also has one plug that runs the whites, actinics, LED moonlights and both built in fans, so I was really happy with that as well.

I went with an Octopus skimmer which is placed in the sump and using a Rio 3100 return pump. Lastly, I am also trying out the Ocean Stream OS-1k pump kit that includes 2 pumps rated at 1600GPH and a wave maker. The thing I like about this so far is that the pumps plug into the wave maker which runs off of one plug. Maybe they are all like that, IDK, first time with a wave maker. I just like the fact that between the wave maker and lighting system, I have reduced the need for several outlets.

Any how, as of a few days ago, I have 0 amm and nitrites, so seems to be doing well so far. I will get some pics up as my wife and I unpack and find more cords. I could use some help from any one good at aqua scaping some rock....I am right off 35 exit 177-178 Cibolo.

BTW, I know my wife doesn't read this but wanted to say thank you to her anyway! I had my tank bought and set up before we even started unpacking our house hold goods lol! Thank you baby!

Lastly ty to Jason and his dad at AD for the help! Much APPRECIATED!!!
