Okay I had a few polyps pop up awhile back and with the help of some peppermints, the problem seemed to go away...
Now I noticed 1 polyp back in the DT, would be no problem for the peppermints but I removed all but 1 or 2 of them. And they never venture to that side of the tank. During a water change over the weekend I noticed I had some growing in my sump.. I haven't messed with them for fear of outbreak but was wondering if I should just leave the ones in the sump alone or take action?
Has anyone used aiptasia X? Should I throw some peppermints in the sump? What would be the safest method?

Remedies like aiptasia x never have worked for me. They always come back and spread. Maybe relocate the peps..?

if it's jsut one, can you just take out the rock it's on?
Apitasia -x has been like fertilizer for me. kills the big one but lets it spew out 100 little ones

Yes I have all the time in the world, so might just try the boiling water method....
What about in the sump? Should I knock those out too?

And the rock is on the bottom so it would be more work than I really want to do.... But will if I have to, jus don't want to stress anything out.

apt x or joes juice work fine provided you can get to them and to dose any you see every day until they are gone completely.

For every aptaisia you see there are 10 hiding in and under your rocks. That is why many times people add Berghias and think they don't work. Four months down the road you look in your tank and and go "where did the aptaisia go"? Remember they do not need light to survive. If you pick up a rock with a big one zap it with aptaisia x, if you have a tank that is over loaded add 2 or three adult (hopefully pregnant) berghias and wait.

Okay so I came to the conclusion that aptasia x don't work for ****.........
I should have listened.....
Not having a outbreak but what turned from 1 head on a rock turned to 4..... It's not bothering me that much....... YET..
I did get a rock out that had a huge head on it..... What should I do with it? Let it dry out? Or is there a way to clean th rock to get it back into the tank quickly?

My favorite method of fighting aiptasia that ErikH taught me is to use a candle clicker and torch them. It's very satisfying and they do not come back.

My berghias are slowly taking care of the problem. I see about 1-3 nudis crawling on the rocks each night. At least once a week I see the egg strings on the sides of the aquarium. The process is very slow, but it's slowly getting better in my tank.
If you don't see any berghias, let me know, and I'll try and catch a couple of mine when they're in the overflows and give 'em to you.

I got a filefish that took care of the ones in the open but it's pretty lazy. What it's really good for is keeping my Xenia in check!

I was thinking of trying the nudis too. I was wondering how they were doing from yalls group order. Maybe we should get another together?

To update this thread.....
I should have listened to JT's cheap method of Kalk and whipping it up till its pasty...
It works..... Killed 3 big heads that were buggin me and 4 weeks later and they havent returned..... I killed the big 3 plus some babies that were forming and they are all extinct....
