What different brands are there as far as Controllers goes?
I can only think of a couple - Neptune and Digital Aquatics
Anything else?

After seeing your problems with the reef keeper, I'm going with an apex unit.

The weird thing is my older Reefkeeper system that I have had first on the old 125g tank and now on the 215g has never given me a single bit of trouble!
If I wouldn't have bought the second RKL for the Seahorse tank I would be such a loyal DA customer!
Now it looks like they are taking care of it. They authorized a return so we'll see what the inspection says.
But yeah if that unit is ever a total loss I am considering Apex as well.
Of course Lucky just had the Apex fail on him so you're never safe lol

I think I'll keep it simple then. Just a thermostat for the chiller and appliance timers for the lights.
