The TOTM Committee would like to introduce you to one of the most impressive newbie set ups you will see on MAAST. Josh (aka Buck27) has been in the hobby for barely a year and dove right in with lots of DIY builds and inventions.

This thread is devoted to Josh, so come and sit for a while and ask him questions about this setup. If this isn't enough for you, we will also be highlighting video of his tank at our 3rd Quarter TOTM Social.

Thank you, it really is an addiction. Tuesday I have two LE acros coming from a private seller that bought before tyree at world wide corals got his hands on them! I also purchased 5 new pieces from austin aqua farms.

Josh,

Thanks for a GREAT tank - first-timers, pay attention - this is how to do it RIGHT. It's also obvious that Josh is a patient hobbyist, another requirement in this hobby, and thought out EVERYTHING before jumping in!

Had the pleasure of seeing this gorgeous tank in person back in April. It seems to look even better now. Well done Josh!

Killer tank Josh! You went all out and your hard work shows. Wish I had the persistance to do weekly water changes...twice a month is all I can handle.

I like the way you think Karin! Don't give me any ideas lol. Thanks for the great compliments everyone and I'm glad you enjoy the
Tank. It can be a pain to do weekly water changes not only woth my time but my wallet as well lol, I use Coral Pro and love it but its not cheap and at 30 gallons a week the bucket doesn't seem to last long. I have actually considered buying a while pallet once.

I will be adding 4 new acans to the tank sometime this week along with two new acros. I also have added PacMan deep water acro from a private seller and am working on getting a pink dragontales acro from the same guy. Reeffarmers now has the two as LE pieces so now mine will be worth more I hope.

Actually, yes I do plan to give it another go once the male bangai fattens up a little more. I would love to get my picasso clowns going and my black & whites as well as the mandarins. I currently have 3 mandarins in the tank and all are very peacful with eachother. I know one is male and one is female but I am unsure of the third party.
