How I mount corals:
1. The corals are mounted laying down. So if it says 1", then it's one inch laying down. I've done every single SPS in my tank this way. While it take a bit longer for it to grow, the corals have a stronger base and encrust over a larger area more quickly.
2. I mount on old used frag plugs, old pieces or live rock, old shells, dead coral, etc... I try to use natural things as they tend to blend in better down the road.
My tank setup:
1. The corals are under 6 x 24 watts of T5 lighting over a 30 gallon tank. Four ATI Blue+, one Fiji purple and one Giessman actinic.
2. I don't baby my tank. I do water changes as needed and infrequently dose 2 part.
3. I have extremely high flow in my tank. An MP40 provides all the water movement on a short pulse setting.
4. I can tell you who I received my coral from, for most corals in my tank.
5. Every coral in my tank was grown from a 3/4" - 1" frag. I grew my own coral reef from what seemed like seeds.

I feel that I've sold these corals without any explanation so let me be clear so no one makes a trip to my house and becomes disappointed.

If any of these things concern you, please don't purchase from me. Otherwise let's rock!

Dude, it was a pleasure to stop by. It was fun talking about the turbografx, sega cd, other game platforms with you. Glad I'm not the only one around here that remembers those systems.
Now, back to reefing...I really like your hands off approach with your tank. I've never seen any acro that was as encrusted on a rock like your red-planet was. Thanks for the extras too.

It's funny because the kids that I teach don't even know what a PS1 is, let alone what we talked about. We should introduce them to arcade games and watch their reaction.

Thank you and no problem. Hope they grow well in your tank!
