All are WYSIWYG!

Check the cuts out...blue inside, that's where it gets it's name from. When they die they are completely blue.

*note: this is the first time I have ever fragged this coral. I'm very curious to see what happens where the open cuts are (the blue area). I'm thinking the alive part of the coral (white/brown) will just grow over the blue. Anyways, if you buy one please stay in contact with the growth progress.

Care: Mid to heavy indirect flow. Strong lighting. I have kept the mother colony under T5 and MH. Did well in both. Also have kept it in low flow and mod-heavy flow. Did poorly in low flow.

Overall pretty hardy and easy coral to care for.

NOTE: Do not take this coral if you have low flow or Power Compact lighting.

Here is a pic of B in the tank. As you can see they look much better in the tank than out and the frags are a little larger than they appear to be in the dry pics.

with intense flow and lighting it will turn more blue just like the inside...the skeletons are blue from the Iron they extract from the water,In good conditions it will heal over quick and you wont be able to tell where it was cut

Really? When mine i happiest it is actually brown with brown polyps all over it.
It does grow fast though and has such a unique shape. Kind of like an SPS for people who can't keep SPS! lol (it's of course just a softie in a hard shell ;) )

I guess I should clarify,, it was 3 am when I posted that.... all of the NEW growth will be a baby blue and will turn more of a skin color almost pink.. and yes when happy should be really furry with polyps

I'm curious how the cuts will look as the coral heals over.

Rob, Look at the the left side of the pic I posted. see how its more or less a straight line,, Ace and I bought it as a large colony and cut it right down the middle... that is what it looked like after it healed over.. could not even tell

i have seen people put these adjacent to the side of the tank so that as it grows onto the side, the blue skeleton is visible from the outside of the thank.
