I was wondering if anyone in the corpus area goes to the jetties I have never been and would love to get some peppermint shrimp and just learn how to get them.

There's really nothing to it. Take a long-handled net of a reasonable size and either a flashlight or a headlamp. Go out at dusk or later, and you'll be able to see the peps by their eye shine. I know the numbers fluctuate seasonally, so input from a local would be nice. My kids and I had a blast when we went to Port A with MAAST a couple of summers back. We caught dozens of peps, mollie millers, sergeant majors, etc., plus collected some beautiful rock anemones.

You should plan to go out with the group of us in July (or go again if you can't wait that long! :D)...

Jetties are man-made structures that extend out into the ocean past the sandbars and create a wave break and are an inlet for ships to pass into the bays.
