I have just aquired some really cool looking dead coral that has been sitting outside for 20+ years. What can I do to condition this rock and make it live again so I can put it in my reef tank? I am new to the hobby so any help will be apperciated.

Thanks

You are adding to an established tank? If so, clean it well and add it in. The existing bacteria will colonize it soon enough.

yYou may want to use bleach or vinegar, but be sure to rinse thoroughly and let soak in freshwater. iF you detect any bleach odor, rinse and repeat.

The tank has had live stock in it for 4 1/2 weeks now and all seems to be going great , so I guess it is an established tank by now ??
Do the corals need to be boiled in hot water 1st then cleaned afterwards ?
I just want to make sure that I dont crash the tank by doing something wrong here .
Like I said before, I am new to the hobbie and have questions .

When you add it, add one piece at a time and wait a few days to add another.
