Are they that much better than say UVL super actinic? How would you describe there look and what they do to corals?

They are red/pink dominant lights. IMO, they bring out the reds, oranges and greens. Definitely not like actinics.

Are they closer to the UVL 75.25? I haven't ever used the Fiji bulb but I think from looking at spectrums they should be similar? Or at least more so than the super actinic.

I've never used the UVL 75.25 so I can't make a comparison. Maybe someone can chime in here and help with the comparison?!

I believe they are different as the purple has more of the lower end of the spectrum. The 75.25 is more like a blue plus with higher ends of the spectrum. The purple should be used with lamps that have 6 or more bulbs

Thanks for the responses, looks like I will stay will actinic. A little info I am mounting my marineland led in a canopy with a t5 on each side to offset the white color of the led. It makes my ponape birdnest look yellow and fried my green birdsnest yellow.
