I have tons of algae on back wall. I have a fat lawnmower. Will they get along?

I had a lawnmower with him and at first they got along great. Recently they haven't got along as well. The MM blenny would chase off my lawnmower if he got too close. By too close I mean 4-5" away from each other. They didn't chase each other around the tank or anything though.
