A/C guys just left and the board for the compressor is shot and won't be able to get a new part until Tues.

I know the tank is going to heat up like crazy. I few a few small frags and 4 fish that will most likely not survive this. Is anyone willing to hold the fish or has a chiller I can borrow until Tues?

They should be ok tonight, the house is still around 80 and it's cooling down oustide, but I need to figure something out by tomorrow around noon as it's really gonna suck in here.

Anyone?

If you don't have another solution, put some bottles of water in the freezer, float the containers. Wish I could help, I got a full house.

I also wish I could help but the tank isnt ready for livestock as of yet. I know some LFS will hold fish for you.

Steve, when our AC went out a couple years ago, it was blistering hot August (100 degrees+) and we got by fine with opening up the doors and canopy, pointing extra fans at the tank across the surface of the water, and alternating frozen 1 liter water bottles through the sump. It never got up above 82 and we did fine for three days until the AC got fixed finally.

I feel your pain... We were too concerned about the tank to go stay in an air conditioned hotel!

If you have room for larger water bottles in the freezer and sump, it is less work. My tank would go through a 1 liter pretty quik.

you may ask your ac guy if they offer for an extra fee to open the supply store on Saturday usually 25 - 50 dollars extra.... Do you have a heatpump do you know?

Jack's gonna take care of me. Thanks guys. Tank was already at 83, I started floating bags of ice and got it back down to 80. Rob, it's still under warranty and we were told that won't do it for warranty work. It really sucks, hopefully they can get a hold of someone tomorrow. It's some board that needs to be replaced. It is a heatpump, Amana 18 sear and that's about all I know.
