Right now on my 125g I am using a canister filter with a tom's surface skimmer as a carbon/gfo reactor. What I don't like about this solution is that the canister filter is hard to take apart and keep clean. Also, the surface skimmer just looks ugly. I was wondering if something like the Current internal filter would work as an easy way to add carbon/gfo and keep the surface clean. It is rated for 30 gallon tanks, but I think that may be if you are using it as a filter which I won't be. I want something that looks nice in the tank since I don't have a sump. I think it would look good right up against my tunze doc skimmer. Or maybe I could make something similar with acrylic and a small rio pump. Any thoughts?
