Stealth heaters made between 2004-2009 have been recalled. We sold a few of these over the years. There have been 35 reports of fire, and 45 reports of broken glass. The models included are etp 25,50,75,100,150,200,250; and ml90: 447-00,448-00,449-00, 450-00,451-00,452-00,453-00, 454-00. Owners of these heaters are asked to contact united pet group 7:30-5:30 Et. At 1-800-338-4896.

That's funny since the stealth heaters are notorious for having the paint chip away to the point of being left with zero identification.

Yeah, you're right. I would call them on any stealth or stealth pro heater 25-300 watts. We had a glass breakage from one at the store, and a few that would leach current into the tank.

I've thrown more of these garbage heaters out over the past few years...

Had one catch on fire in the nano. UGH.

Just got a nice shock from reaching in my tank. That was enough motivation for me to finally pull all the rock and coral out to get my heater out.
