we caught one of those at the last port a collection trip. they're huge. the one we found was a good 8-10 inches long. i threw it back because i couldn't support it, but truly an awesome creature

thanks! the product is more of a type of sea hare than a species, there are a few species that can "fly", including the very large "black sea hare" common to the gulf and my area, although that is not what this guy is. The black sea hares get huge!! 20 inches plus...way more than a pound, can eat a pound of algae per day.

you would have needed one ugly tank to keep that guy happy

This cutie seems worthy of a species tank actually. So very different!

good or better water quality
carbon in case they ink
no koralia or vortech styled powerheads, or if you do they have to be covered. maxi jets style powerheads are fine, especially if they have the extended tube...
no stinging nems or particularly aggressive corals
1 pint to 1 quart of algae per week

tank size?

it really depends on the tank, 150 or bigger if a reef, 120 if a fowlr, maybe even 100, 50 gallon species only...
