1 35watt 8k hid
40 Lbs Live Rock

right now im working on the lighting still. Im the process of taking out the pc bulbs and run two t5's. i found out running the pc bulbs with hids on gives me a temp of 81.3 @ 8 Hrs. Running the hids alone give me a temp of 77.5 at 8 Hrs with that being said pc bulbs run hot. Tank has been up 5 Weeks. will post pics later tonight.

I'm digging the HID conversions, but how are they with heat. Do they get very hot like metal halides. Also do they come in 15K or 20K bulbs. 8K would probably be too yellow for my liking. I'd like to see some pictures.

High Intensity Discharge.

One of the newer technology lights that are grabbing a foot hold in reefs. They use them in car headlights quite a bit.

First, the stock Red Sea Max 130 skimmer is junk. I went to the Tunze 9002 and OMG what a difference. Less power being consumed and a smaller foot print but the best nano skimmer I've ever seen. The change in skimmers alone cured my micro bubble issues. I was so irritated with the micro bubbles when they first started, but they did die down quite a bit after 1 week or so of constant use on the stock skimmer.
