The rock I'm using for the little tank came out of my 75 and has been dry for about 6 mos. You can still see the GSP mat that was on there, that I do not want to come back, so it has me a little concerned. For those of you using recycled/dry rock, do you recommend soaking a vinegar solution? If you did, how long did you let is soak?

I did completely dry out, bleach (freshwater), rinse and soak (freshwater), dry out again.

I also froze one rock but my freezer space is limited so I didn't do it with all of them.

Second the bleach. I'm going through the process right now. Bleach solution for two days, 2 days dry, rinse multiple times, power-washed, then freeze for two days, then re-rinsed, and finally dried again.

If the GSP survives after all these treatments it deserves to live LOL.
