Thank YOU pest algae!

I just wanted to say Thank YOU Caulerpa racemosa.
You've made me miserable for months. I wasted so much time trying to control you and make you part of the community. But nooooooooo, you just had to take the whole rock when I offered you an inch. And then another rock. And another coral.
Until I could take it no more and I dried every rock you were on, bleached it, dried it again.
And now the rocks are back in a tank. Bigger and better than ever before. Without you.
I love my new tank! :wub:
The one I took down for racemosa didn't even give me half as much joy and a feeling of accomplishment as the new tank.
And I owe it all to pest algae.

I wanted to post this here because suffering a terrible pest can really bring you down so I am offering a glimpse in the 'after'. I t can be good. It can be better.
Don't give up. :)

I thought you posted here so that I would know there was a Pest Forum. Glad you have a happy tank! Looking at my big rock with my monster SPS, thinking about taking it out. Yikes!

Just kidding.

I just thought of Bill and his Bryopsis tank and that it was the end of reefkeeping for him and that's kind of sad.
He had such a beautiful tank.

Lucky for me my old tank was boring and disorganized anyway so not as big of a loss for me as it seemed at the time.
