I love the unique personalities of fishies.

Who has fishies you wanna sneak a kiss from?

TOTM Committee wants to know.

Who has fishies you wanna sneak a kiss from?.

Uh, none! :)

But for personality I'd go with either the starry blenny or the Hook 'em Horns Cow Fish. Probably more so the blenny as their bite isn't as bad as the cow fish.

Yes, the starry blenny! That goofy little brat entertains me constantly. Got a new coral? He wants to sit on it. Got a new mag float? He wants to sit on it. Got a new frag rack? He wants to sit on it. Move a coral or rock? He wants to sit on it. Leave your arm in the tank too long? He wants to sit on that too.

When I had my sailfin tang, he was my favorite character in the tank. He was so nosy, and a bit slow to understand that not everyone wanted his face in their face. Kind of reminded me of my lab. I kept a folder of all my pics with his face poking into the scene. I couldn't get a good shot of any new coral without him coming to check out the camera first.

Let me one up that.

I've been running an experiment. I pinch a bit of pellets between my fingers and hold it just under the surface of the water.

I don't release any pellets until one of the fish bumps my fingers (couldn't do this with Bob in the tank), then I'd loosen my grip on the food a bit to loose a few. Then wait patiently until one of them would strike again.

Mixed results.

About three days ago the starry blenny started biting my finger to release the food. Now as soon as I put my fingers in he nibbles me, pulls back and eats what is released. Then goes back for another Allan nibble for more food.

Not sure the experiment constitutes results but there you go.

I miss my emperor angel and naso tang I lost with the tank crash years ago, and of course my male bluespot BJ who flashed for me all day every day.

In my current tank everyone chuckles at my midas when they discover him on or in his throne.

They can be brats Karin and might harrass your anthias. They are cute though.

Allan, when you tease animals you are going to get bit!

I should describe the blenny bite. It's a very gentle feathery, almost whiskery nibble.

It's not painful, nothing like a squirrel bite. You notice the little kiss marks left on the glass from the blenny trying to get to the glass algae, it feels like that.

Coming in for a smooch...

3rd or 4th + on the the starry blenny (*warning they are jumpers!), but my big ole Naso takes personality to a higher level...I can literally pick him up in my hand. He trusts me, he's smart, and he's a pig...and I love him.

I can't imagine anything being sweeter than a seahorse. The cute dancing at the glass when they see you, the way they hold on to your finger with their tails and you can literally lift them out of the water.
When the family sits down for dinner they float to their feeding dish too because they think dinner should include the whole family including seahorses.
The mandarins are wonderful too and the jawfish are fun. But nothing beats the sweet seahorses

Thats funny, I finally purchased a couple tiny horses for my bio-cube Saturday. They seem so fragile. These are for my wife, she's wanted them for ever...but I've been concerned about keeping them. Well see...

Oh wow. 8 gallons that is going to be a challenge! She must like water changes ;)
I went the easy route with monster size Reidi seahorses and a bigger tank :)
