They have been growing pretty good. Though I'm having problems raising my magnesium, right now its 1200ppm and im using brightwell aquatics Magnesion-P. It said to make a solution of 8 ounces of water and 4 teaspoons. and add at a maximum of 10 ml for 20G. so I started adding 50ml a day, but that didnt help, so right now im adding more to see if that helps. 1 ml of the solution is supposed to rise Mag by 6 ppm.
I try to keep the thread updated.
Thanks for the comments.

Ok, so I finally got my MG where I wanted. It took me 10X the max amount I was supposed to dose according to Brightwell Aquatics Magnesion-P. Now I'm just maintaining it with their 2 part dosing additives.
Growth has keep going nicely, but I lost 2 Acropora colonies. one was about 6 inches :( I'm not sure why, because parameters where fine. It looked like RTN. My other acroporas are fine.
I moved some corals that were not glued yet. I'll try to post some pictures tonight.
Thanks for looking.

How quickly did you raise the magnesium levels. Acros can be pretty finicky with sudden changes.

It wasn't like a sudden change even though I was dosing a lot more than supposed to. I would check my MG levels at least every three days it took me 11 days to get from 1200ppm to 1320ppm. But I had been dosing MG with the recommended doses even before those 11 days with no success.
The first colony I lost was one I had just gotten through liveaquaria. It died a week after I got it. The second I've had it for a few months and it died just like the one from LA.
Could it have been some kind of bacterial infection?

You know I used to do great with LPS until I adopted one with a slight problem. It got better just to get worse again and then wipe out all of my other LPS.
Based on that I believe it's possible that one type of coral (in your case acros) can bring in some kind of infection and it stays in the system and just dooms the others of the same kind.
But I could be wrong. Maybe your acros will do well once things stabilize again! :)

I hope I don't loose any others. Even though I dont have that many because I'm just getting into SPS. When the second colony began with the RTN I fragged the "good parts." I ended up with 5 frags. 4 of them died in the next few days but 1 survived. It is supposed to be pink with blue tips but its brown now. I hope it survives and recover its color again.

Well the frag that was left still alive so I think it will make it. Al other corals are excellent. They actually look better than ever. Since I have stable Ca, Alk, and Mg levels; undetectable nitrates (Salifert) and phosphate (Hanna) I would like to use some Zeovit products to give growth and coloration a boost. But I have some questions
I dont wanna dose too many things daily so I'm thinking to start with:
Amino acids- not sure if I should go with the LPS or High Concentrate
Pohl's Coral Vitalizer
Pohl's Xtra??
What do you think?
Thanks

Those are some super sweet pics. The feather duster pic is outstanding. Very nice tank.
Be careful with the additives. Of all the things that I've learned with keeping sps, this is the most important one...don't fix it if it ain't broke. Your tank look looks beautiful. You appear to be having no issues with growth. So why mess with the tank's chemistry?
The amino acids do help, but I've had better luck just with having a stable tank and keeping the fish fat and happy.

Thanks. I really like that feather duster, its one of the latest additions (there's also a new frogspawn which I forgot to post the pic. will do in a minute)
The main reason why I want to try some zeovit additives is because the coloration of my SPS is not like I would like it to be. I didnt post any pics of my SPS because of that... about a month ago I ordered some SPS from LA and they have lost some coloration. I was still fixing my Ca, Mg and Alk parameters when I got them but I have done it slowly.
Thanks for the comments :)

I had did an order with live aquaria about two months ago for a clam and a ora purple plasma. I lost the clam and the ora frag went RTN on me. I think there might have been an issue with the summer heat. Maybe that's why your sps lost some color?
On your full tank shot, the three sps colonies in the middle look pretty sweet.

That might've been. One of the colonies I got from live aquaria had RTN. They packed it with those ice bags and I paid for the priority overnight shipping though.

A few days ago I upgraded my reactor pump from a MJ1200 to a Mag-5. The MJ barely moved the biopellets around but now the Mag-5 is doing a great job. What do you think about the flow? enough? too much? here's a video:

Really a nice effect.
I'm always concerned that one will overgrow another. I didn't notice, did you have any palys in there? Palys seem to be the more aggressive of the zoa-like corals, insomuch as how they grow over and around everything.

Haven't had any problems yet. I have the red and green people eaters just not sure of they are palys. Also the nuclear green. There were some fights between the zoas and the green hydnophora but not anymore.
