I'm taking it as a very good sign that coralline algae has just exploded in this tank. It is on the glass. It is on the rocks. It is on my back wall, and it is even on a hermit crab's shell. It has, in the span of just a few days, coated a maxijet pump to the point that you can't tell what size pump it is.

Whole tank shot: http://www.maast.org/album.php?albumid=254&attachmentid=10698 See all the pink on that scrubber, allan? It was gray 4 days ago.

Unsure of the levels at this particular time, I need to do another round of tests. Should be really close to what is considered 'ideal!'

You know I've always been poo-pooing on people using Purple Up because I figure if your calcium levels are sufficient then in time coralline will come. Period.
But I was cleaning up the garage and found an old bottle and thought what the heck. So I've been pouring a bit into the sump every day and wouldn't you know it, that area where I dump it in first (before it gets dispersed) has noticeably more coralline growing then the upstream portion of the sump.

Looks great, Richard!

Nice Rick, I had to get to a computer to look at your pics.

You should get your Bam Bams to a rock as they will start fragging themselves out when that tile is too full. Then you'll end up with them everywhere. They are a nuisance Zoa :)

Looking good bro.
