I'm in the process of installing metal halides on my 125 gal tank. Wanted to know if 3 metal halides at 175 watts each 20K is to much. These would be about 7" above the tank.

that should be good its kind of a shallow tank

IMO that's fine I'm running Two 250s with 14Ks on my 125L
