Stunning!

I've only seen the blue ones in pictures!

Well, I guess I still have only seen them in pictures, lol. I've only seen the pink spotted at LFS.

What are your feeding plans?

Beautiful! I was thinking about a pair of these also ... I may have been looking at that very pair recently on liveaquaria! I've got tons of asterinas and was wondering what ate them so I did a google. FWIW, you may already have a feeding plan, but I've heard that some people toss in a chocolate chip star once in a while. I've also heard that you can keep a choco in the sump or other tank and cut off an arm every once in a while to feed them. The arms apparently regenerate readily as the choco's are pretty hardy, as opposed to linkias ...

Its not like its hard to feed them, just toss a chocolate chip starfish in there every now and then.

Im super jealous, Ive been wanting one for well over two years

nice, i have more than enough starfish for both of our tiny shrimp. if ur ever in sa and need some i can easily part with at least 100 of them.

i kept one for 3-4 years, i too love them

i got it to eradicate asterinas which were out of control. then i just fed it a chocolate chip every 4-6 weeks. you can also keep multiple stars in your sump as suggested and rotate them out. no need to feed them just the legs though as the harlequin will feed the star to keep it alive while it eats it

personally, i would not keep more than 1. feeding them was too much hassle. i cant think of any other reason multiple would be bad though unless they fought over food.

regric, yes, they do eat corals. rule of thumb with stars is: bumps = bad, otherwise good. however, its hard to eat corals when you are on your back getting eaten

i have a vid somewhere of the harlequin flipping over a star before chowing down, ill see if i can find it
